Join us for a thrilling Jack n’ Jill Tango Competition on Friday evening at the Regent Ballroom! This exciting and enjoyable event is open to all dancers, who can enter as either a leader or a follower.
In this competition, dancers are paired randomly with different partners throughout the event. It’s all about improvisation, creativity, and having fun, making it an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Event Details
- Date: Friday, 18 October
- Competition Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Venue: Regent Ballroom, Level 1/59 Aberdeen St, Northbridge
- Ballroom Access: The ballroom will be open from 6:00 PM, an hour before the event. Competitors needs to register on location at 6 pm, so you can become familiar with the dance floor, rules, and competition process.
How It Works
1. Round 1:

- Everyone will compete in the 1st round.
- Round 1 will comprise 3 or 4 tangos.
- Dancers will be randomly paired and will perform one tango and then rotate according to a random number generator.
- Leaders and followers will be evaluated individually to advance to the finals.
2. Finals:

- Finalists will be randomly paired and will compete as couples in the final tango
- The couple will dance to 3 or 4 tangos.
- We’ll have two sets of judges—one for leaders and one for followers—making this a fair and exhilarating contest.
